ABOUT US

Narai Intertrade Co., Ltd.

Narai Intertrade Co,. Ltd.

Narai Intertrade Co,.Ltd. was established on October 6, 1989 by Mr.Vassilios and his wife, Ms.Wasna Roongsaenthong, with a registered capital of one million bath. With Mr.Vassilios' background knowledge, they commenced a business of electronic apparatus and mechanical gadgets trading. After flourishing well for a period of time, their business encountered problems deriving from a lack of product availability. Mr.Vassilios’ response was to initiate a new business of textile products and relevant accessories.

In 1993, a new factory was established, employing 15 staff members, who operated 15 sewing machines. The manufactured products were then sold in the tiny two-square meter store in Narai Phand.

Since then, business has been flourishing, and NaRaYa’s growth has been rapid. Today, we have a workforce of over 3,000 employees and are cooperating with more than 4,000 makers in the countryside to produce our high-quality products.

Trademark Registration and Factory Expansion

In 1996, Narai Intertrade Co, Ltd registered the trademark "NaRaYa", which today is a very strong brand name. "NaRaYa" is a word In Hindi language, meaning "Phra Narai" or commonly known as "Vishnu - the great god of the Hindus". This name was chosen because of its positive meaning, and easy pronunciation in several languages.

In 2006, registered capital was increased to 90 million bath, and Head Office facilities were constructed on Chaengwattana Road in Nonthaburi.

In 2008, two more factories were set up in Laluad District and in Lam Plai Mat district, Buri Ram.

In 2011, a factory was set up in Phra Lup sub-district, Mueang District, Khon Kaen.

In 2016, a new distribution center was setup in Pathumthani Province.

Today, Naraya exports its products to several countries around the world, serving its customers through 24 domestic and 13 international branches. NaRaYa has proven that even a small local business, can evolve to become large and successful, in both domestic as well as international markets.

Mission & Vision

 Mission

NaRaYa creates a wide variety of products from different fabrics, to serve the needs of customers at all age levels, so that they can use these products in all occasions. A perfect combination of high-quality fabric and exquisite craftsmanship, can be turned into the finest products for customers.

Vision

NaRaYa intends to continuously create and develop new products to serve the needs of both Thai and foreign customers, emphasizing on the quality, functionality, and beauty of its products.

Social Responsibility

NaRaYa has supported the entrepreneurs of small-sized enterprises. Most NaRaYa products are superb handcrafts of the skilled labour groups from many provinces in Thailand. This kind of support promoted an integration of people in the village, increased income and generated economic security for the villagers. This support was also seen as a distribution of income to a low-class population or villagers in that they did not need to leave their hometown and go to Bangkok to find their jobs.

NaRaYa delicately selected raw materials, designed the products and provided the trainings for the villagers who were participated in this project. Even though encountering the difficult challenges of trainings in order to attain the products with required standard on time, NaRaYa is a great success example of Thai products, created by skilled labour in rural areas and accepted by many people around the world.

NaRaYa participated in the government-supported project, which aimed to promote goods produced in each province, so that the rural families could earn income from their works in their own provinces. Moreover, NaRaYa also participated in the projects of income generating and poverty relief with CARE, which is a non-profit organization. Nowadays, over 3,000 families in many provinces in Thailand created the products for NaRaYa.

Ms. Wasna - The Face of NaRaYa

After Narai Intertrade Co, Ltd was established, Ms. Wasna became the important mainstay of the company in terms of creativity. With the sharp eyes for fashion and beauty, Ms. Wasna advises the creative and design team about choosing the colors, patterns and textures of NaRaYa handbags. This can be viewed as the initial reason behind the success of NaRaYa.

Ms. Wasna is always open-minded and willing to accept new ideas. This broad-mindedness has a creative effect on our products, which, after their initial introduction, evolve over time to include slightly different designs, colors, or patterns. Furthermore, numerous types of materials have been changed to be more suitable and modern. This makes NaRaYa products always look exotic, a result of genuine creativity.

Ms. Wasna's success does not arise only from her inherent excellent fashion sentiment. Zealously devoted to helping the countryside Thai people, she initiated and carried through projects to generate employment for them. Thus, today, these people can earn a sufficient income for a decent living, and the means to provide proper education to their children.

Since its business initiation, NaRaYa has steadily grown, gaining a positive reputation. The numerous significant awards it has received throughout the years, evidently reflect its great success and wide market and social acceptance.
